Sallye Anne & John are having a baby!

When John & Sallye Anne asked me to shoot their maternity photos I have to admit I was a little nervous. It’s always nerve-wrecking photographing other photographers! John and Sallye Anne run John Pyle Photography here in Columbus where John shoots amazing senior modeling portraits. They are expecting their first child - Julie Anne at the end of July. We had entirely too much fun during their session and Sallye Anne even climbed into the crib! Thanks again you guys. Tim and I are looking forward to our session with you all!

I love this baby outfit with their logo! Someone gave it to them as a gift at their shower and Sallye Anne said she about died when she saw it. :)

John wanted some “redneck” photos as a joke of him and Sallye Anne with her cute belly so we dressed them up, gave John a garden hose and a beer and voila! This was just for FUN and this is my favorite one. :)

Lindsay - Your pictures absolutely blow me away everytime. Love the redneck one. Your so creative. One day hopefully you can do my own wedding. :)

ohana photographers - that redneck photo just plain rules!!! love the whole session lisette!

Sean - Wow, Lisette.. this couple is way too good looking. It's hardly fair! Stunning variety of poses & expressions - really impressive! That first one is SO cute, but the outdoors are amazing too!

Brad - Way to rock this session my friend!!!! Love them all!

Sallye Anne - Thank you Lisette! You did a GREAT job! Now I've got to decide which ones we are going to put in her nursery. I love the one of me in her crib, and the one where you were looking down on us with the camera in the grass. And I will have to admit I like the redneck one too, John gets a thumbs up for insisting we do that! Thank you again...we love them!

John Pyle - Lisette....what a fun and memorable time! We are so glad that you captured and created these images for us. We love them!!!! Thanks for making our shoot and these images so special to us!

Leslie Roark - This is seriously my all time favorite maternity shoot ever!!!!!!! I LOVE IT!!! Great job!

Zak Schwank - Yeah love the last one and the first is too cute. :)

Becka @Studio222 - SOOOOOO fantastic! I love the white trash one. Nate and I were thinking of throwing a white trash themed housewarming party LOL

Rachael Earl - These are SO cute, and I LOVE the last one!

Columbus Photographer’s Group Shoot

On Friday I met up with some local photographer friends for a group shoot in Manchester, GA. This was our third group shoot and we had a blast! The location was beyond amazing, the models were gorgeous, and we didn’t even let the rain stop us from capturing great shots. It actually made some of the photos even better! It will be a while before I post the pictures but I cannot wait to share these with all of you! Until then here are a few action shots from the day. Please pardon the fact that we are all soaked from the rain, covered in asbestos, pigeon feathers, and other not to be named toxins…it was all worth it though!

Matt Gillespie also posted this video on his Facebook taken with his iPhone (I need one of these….will they ever leave AT&T and go to Verizon?!) It’s my first “in action” video! If I had known he was filming I wouldn’t have acted so goofy. ;) You’ll see me, Ritchie White, and our model Christine. Thanks Matt!

Jennifer & Hunter {Married}

Jennifer & Hunter were married on May 23, 2009 at the Gaylor Family Residence. Jennifer had everything planned down to the very last detail for her outdoor wedding. The one thing she did not plan for was rain! I kept an eye on the forecast all day Friday and on Saturday leading up to the wedding. We knew it would rain at some point. Thankfully we had clear skies for their first look and photos of Jennifer and Hunter alone, however once Hunter left to round of the bridal party for photos the sky opened up. Jennifer and I said a little prayer together for God to let their wedding day be clear if it were His will….and it was! It down-poured for about 30 minutes through some of the formal shots (under the reception tent!), and then stopped completely before the ceremony. Some of the guests helped out by drying off the seats and Jennifer walked down the aisle to Hunter exactly like she had planned. Their ceremony was sweet and simply beautiful and the reception was a fun party throughout the night! Jennifer & Hunter thank you for choosing us to photograph your wedding. You’re both perfect for one another and we wish you the utmost happiness in your marriage! P.S. - Jennifer, we still have to meet for lunch at Applebee’s just because. ;)

Hunter Family

Danielle contacted me after seeing the Power’s family session I shot last Fall. She and Martha were neighbors on Ft. Benning and Martha was sweet enough to refer her my way. We had a great time during this session and we survived the Georgia heat! It must have already been over 80 degrees while we were shooting at 8:30 in the morning. We schedule this session one week before they PCS’d to Ft. Carson, CO. PCS’d means Permanent Change of Station — or they moved for you non-military folks! Danielle I hope you, Josh, and Mady love some of your last photos from Georgia and that you are enjoying Colorado and no humidity!

Also, thanks to the Jordan family for letting us run around their gorgeous backyard. :)

Say hello to their dogs Cadet Major and Norman Schwarzkopf!

I love this one!

Danielle’s only request and we finally got it at the end of the session!

Jamie Burnett - Beautiful family, and I LOVE the names of their doggies! So funny! That last shot is PERFECT!

Sean - Kudos on the word of mouth! All of these are brilliant, Lisette - particularly love #2, but hard to pick a fave!

Zak Schwank - Such a cute family! Love the angle in the second one. :)

Megan Jordan - Always love your pictures. I check out your blog frequently. You made our yard look so wonderful, and thanks for the shoutout! Kenny and I would like to get pictures done if possible before we leave. I will email you. Take care!

Hokie Bird!

Hello blog world! I’m sorry to have neglected this blog for an entire week. I have been super busy and haven’t had the time to just sit down and blog. I flew to Roanoke on Friday for a wedding that I had at Virginia Tech on Saturday. I had so much fun and finally got to meet the Hokie Bird!!!!! The entire time I was a student at Virginia Tech the closest I got to our mascot was when he was crowd surfing at football games. Lesley and JR hired the Hokie Bird to make a surprise appearance at their reception. It was a huge surprise to say the least! Everyone got on the dance floor for the Hokie Pokie and “shook it all about” for the rest of the evening. If you’re wondering what a Hokie is click here for an explanation! :)

Jamie Burnett - Was this post for me?? He he.... Cute pic!

Sean - Oh my god, haha! I hope I never see one of those at a reception!

Sugar, Spice, & Tutus

Oh my what a fun time we all had with this session! Kim contacted me about a session for her adorable daughter Ava after seeing photos I took of Kara’s family. Kim and Kara are sisters so while she was visiting a few weeks ago we scheduled a shoot. I love that they decided to dress Ava and Hannah in tutus! These beautiful creations are from Miss Priss Tutus. I may order a few for my niece’s birthday. :)

I am envious of brunettes with blue eyes! Isn’t she so sweet?!

And of course we had to take a few with the family!

Zak - Soooo cute! My daughter was fawning over the little girls in their tutus. :)

Ginette - WOW! I just LOVE the first 3 tutu photos. Those are so cute and the way you captured her eyes...to die for. Something about a little girl in a tutu melts my heart.

Jamie Burnett - Oh my gosh! Those first two are sooo precious! Adorable baby girls!

Sean - Oh gosh, Lisette - these are completely priceless. Seriously wonderful session, they're all incredible.

Kim - Love, love, love...thank you so much for taking these pictures. We will treasure them for a long time! I laughed out loud when I saw that you got pictures of Ava holding her belly in with her tongue sticking out...what a ham!

Amanda Suanne - adooorable!! Omgosh! I love the little tutu !!!!!

courtney - My ovaries just burst!!!! LOL These babies are sooooo adorable! :) What great pictures, Lisette. Fabulous as always.

Megan Neal - These are SO cute!! I especially love the first three of these with those funny faces!! haha =) Tutus were such a cute idea!!!
